Your opportunity
As a Labourer (Town Services), you will be instrumental to the upkeep and improvement of community assets, including streetscapes, parks, public facilities, and town infrastructure. Reporting to the Town Services Supervisor, you will ensure the safe and efficient delivery of operational services to keep our town clean, functional, and welcoming for residents and visitors alike.
With integrity and pride, you will:
- provide maintenance and development of streetscapes and public areas to improve amenities;
- general labour duties at town facilities; and
- set up and pack up of events
What you'll bring...
You are a resilient and adaptable team player who thrives in a hands-on, outdoors role. With a sharp eye for detail and a strong commitment to safety, you are motivated to achieve for our 700-strong community, sharing our values of Respect, Communication, Fun and Humour, Pride, Trust and Teamwork.
To thrive in this role, you will have:
- Current Qld 'MR' Class Drivers Licence
- Aptitude for Gardening and plant care and working in landfill areas and cemeteries
- Sufficient communication skills
Although it’s not essential, it would be great if you had:
- formal qualification in relevant field of horticulture/civil earthworks;
- competencies for medium size plant and machinery; and
- knowledge and experience in the maintenance of plants, sport fields, landscaping, tree planting and pruning.
